Bath-Brunswick Veterinary Associates has an immediate full-time opening for an enthusiastic, progressive and compassionate veterinarian with experience and/or completed internship. Our ideal candidate will be committed to providing our patients with the highest quality medical care while ensuring the compassionate care and education of their owners. Candidate must have experience in small animal medicine, including surgical with both routine (OHE, Cast) and emergent (GDV) cases. Time management, communication skills and the ability to work well and collaborate in a multi-doctor environment is required.

We offer options for 3 1/2- 4 ½ days a week including a Saturday half day rotation. No overnight emergency coverage. We  believe in practicing individualized medicine within a supportive environment with skilled licensed technicians, assistants, kennel grooming and client service teams.

BBVA is a 5-6 doctor privately held practice providing advanced in-house services such as ultrasonography, digital dental radiology, cold laser therapy, digital radiology, endoscopy, and full Idexx in-house laboratory. We offer a full range of cancer diagnostics and chemotherapy overseen by co-owner Gail Mason, DVM, MA, DACVIM.  BBVA also houses a large kennel facility with boarding, daycare and grooming.

Veterinary Technicians/Assistant

Bath-Brunswick Veterinary Associates is looking to add a full-time Veterinary Technician to our team. Our licensed veterinary technicians and veterinary assistants work hand in hand with our veterinarians and the rest of our team to provide quality medical care for our patients. The ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and handle multiple tasks at once with an attention to detail is required.

Experience as a licensed veterinary technician is preferred for this position, however, we will consider candidates with in-clinic experience who are not currently licensed . Candidate must have good communication skills, be compassionate, possess the ability to multi-task, be flexible and have the desire to learn new skills, as well as utilize their already established skills. Experience in anesthesia monitoring for surgical and dental procedures, restraint, radiology, venipuncture, performing laboratory functions, triage, client education and general veterinary assisting duties is required.

Client Service Representative 

Bath-Brunswick Veterinary Associates has an immediate full-time opening for an enthusiastic, friendly and compassionate Client Service Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will love working with clients as much as the animals and possess excellent telephone and in-person client service and communication skills. The ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and handle multiple tasks at once with an attention to detail is required. Strong organizational skills and computer experience is essential. Prior experience in client service is required and experience in an animal setting or veterinary hospital is preferred.

Some of your daily duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Welcoming both clients & patients, admission and discharge and helping ensure top-notch client service to our valued clients.
• Scheduling and confirming appointments.
• Incoming and outgoing phone calls, faxes, text messaging & emails
• Presenting and explaining fees, including payment processing.
• Client education of services, products and basic medical care such as heartworm prevention, flea & tick control, nutrition and husbandry.
• Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence documents
• Working directly with our medical team and our clients to help facilitate efficient flow of information and care for our patients.
• Basic office functions such as scanning, faxing, cleaning, etc.

Kennel Assistant 

Bath-Brunswick Veterinary Associates has an immediate full-time opening for an enthusiastic, friendly and compassionate Kennel Assistant with a sense of humor to join our team. The ideal candidate will love working with clients as much as the animals, possess excellent communication skills, be self-motivated and have the desire to spend their day ensuring the care and comfort of our boarding and daycare animals. The ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and handle multiple tasks at once with an attention to detail is required. Strong organizational skills and computer experience is essential. Prior experience with animals in a kennel or shelter setting and/or grooming is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate.

This position is physically demanding and requires a strong commitment to animal care as well as flexible hours including weekends and holidays and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Your daily duties will include all aspects of oversight of the pets in our boarding, daycare and grooming facility, including but not limited to:

• Admission and discharge of pets
• Feeding, giving medication and observation of overall health
• Walking, playing and other pet enrichment activities (including cuddling!)
• Bathing and brushing
• Maintaining cleanliness in all animal areas (sweeping, moping, disinfecting, removal of waste, laundry, etc.)
• Managing and maintaining accurate records, charts or notes regarding pet’s care
