Dr.
Miranda Smith
General
Medicine & Surgery
Dr.
Smith has been with us since 1994. She received her
Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University
and served her internship at Oradell Animal Hospital.
Dr. Smith cares for a lot of our canine and feline friends
as well as exotic pets such as rabbits, rats, guinea
pigs and snakes.
In
her spare time, Dr. Smith enjoys working in her garden
and running. She is the proud parent of three dogs and
one cat. Dr. Smith is also involved with the Coastal
Humane Society.

Dr.
Erica Parthum
Dr.
Erica Parthum graduated from Bates College with degree
in Biochemistry. She then pursued her veterinary education
at the University of Pennsylvania, followed by an internship
at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Red Bank, New Jersey.
She continued to practice general medicine at Red Bank
Veterinary Hospital for three years prior to joining
Bath-Brunswick Veterinary Associates. Her veterinary
interests include oncology and feline geriatric medicine.
She enjoys time with her family - including their four
cats, black lab and border collie mix.

Dr.
Kristen Berdan
Dr. Kristen Berdan is a graduate of the Ohio State
College of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation,
she pursued advanced training by completing an internship
at Bath-Brunswick Veterinary Associates and Portland
Veterinary Specialists. She also holds a degree in
Biomedical Science from Texas A & M University. Dr.
Berdan's special medical interests include internal
medicine and emergency/critical care. Dr. Berdan enjoys
volunteering for humane society organizations, traveling
gardening and spending time with her pug dog and two
ferocious felines.

Dr.
Charles Ellithorpe
Dr. Charles C. Ellithorpe, a 1991 graduate of Texas
A&M, has joined Bath-Brunswick Veterinary Associates'
staff of veterinarians. He comes to Maine from Livingston
Veterinary Hospital in Montana. Prior to that he was
an associate veterinarian for twelve years at the
Animal Hospital of Central Kitsap in Poulsbo, Washington.
Dr. Ellithorpe's special interests include cardiology,
surgery and dentistry. He has advanced training in
diagnostic ultrasound and orthopedic surgery. His
love of animals extends into his personal interests
through bird-dog training, wildlife rehabilitation
and conservation efforts. Dr. Ellithorpe is also a
wildlife artist and bronze sculptor.
